What's in a Tihost VPS: KVM, root, DDoS protection, panel and bot

In short

Every Tihost VPS is a KVM virtual machine with full root access, an NVMe disk, a public IPv4 address and DDoS protection at no extra cost. It is deployed in about 2 minutes, managed from the web panel, the Telegram bot @tihost_bot or the API, and its uptime is covered by a 99.9% SLA with downtime compensation.

Key takeaways
  • Every Tihost VPS is a KVM virtual machine with full root access (Administrator on Windows), a 40 to 450 GB NVMe disk and a public IPv4 address.
  • Network-level DDoS protection is included in the price of every Tihost VPS in all three locations - Germany, Finland and Poland.
  • A Tihost VPS is deployed in about 2 minutes after payment and is managed from the web panel, the Telegram bot @tihost_bot, a browser VNC console and a public REST API.
  • A Tihost VPS can be ordered or reinstalled with 8 operating systems: Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux and FreeBSD.
  • Tihost VPS uptime is covered by a 99.9% SLA with downtime compensation; sign-up takes an email, Google or Telegram account with no KYC, and paying for 12 months gives 20% off.

The server itself

  • KVM virtualization. A full virtual machine with its own OS kernel: Docker, WireGuard, kernel modules, any network setup.
  • Full root access (Administrator on Windows) from the first minute - no restrictions on what you install.
  • AMD Ryzen 9 CPUs - 5950X in Germany and Finland, 9950X in Poland (comparison).
  • NVMe SSD - 40 to 450 GB depending on the plan.
  • A public IPv4 address. You can change the IP once per server for free from the panel or the bot.

Operating systems

Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux and FreeBSD are available when ordering and when reinstalling. An OS reinstall takes a couple of clicks in the panel or the bot. Linux servers get ready-made install scripts - LAMP, LEMP, Django, Redmine and the Zabbix monitoring agent; Windows servers get Google Chrome and the Zabbix agent.

Protection and reliability

  • Network-level DDoS protection is included in the price of every server.
  • Tier III data centers in Germany, Finland and Poland.
  • 99.9% SLA: if a server is down through our fault we compensate the downtime, and if it does not work through our fault we refund the unused days.
  • Public uptime statistics per site on the status page.

Management: panel, bot, console, API

There are three ways to manage a server, all on the same account:

  • Web panel at tihost.io - purchase, renewal, power, OS reinstall, password and name changes, load statistics, support tickets.
  • Telegram bot @tihost_bot - the same inside Telegram: order, pay, reboot or reset the password from your phone without opening the website.
  • Browser VNC console - access to the server's screen even when SSH or RDP is unreachable (for example after a network misconfiguration).
  • Public API - buy, renew and manage servers from your own scripts. Documentation is on the API page, script examples are in the API automation guide.

Payment and renewal

  • Prices are fixed in US dollars; 10% off for 3 months, 15% for 6 and 20% for 12 months.
  • Top up your balance with cryptocurrency (for example USDT, BTC, TON) or a bank card - the whole path from sign-up to a running server is in the guide to buying a VPS.
  • Sign up with just an email, a Google account or Telegram - no KYC and no document uploads.
  • Auto-renewal from the balance can be turned on per server.

Support

Support works 24/7 in Telegram (@tihost_support) and via tickets in the panel; the average first response time is under 5 minutes.
