Tihost VPS plans: every configuration, price and how to choose

In short

Tihost offers nine VPS configurations in three lines - Starter, Advanced and Power: from 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe at $4.00 per month up to 16 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 450 GB NVMe. Every server runs on AMD Ryzen 9 with KVM virtualization, and paying for 3, 6 or 12 months upfront gives a 10, 15 or 20% discount.

Key takeaways
  • Tihost offers nine VPS configurations in three lines - Starter, Advanced and Power: from 1 vCPU / 2 GB RAM / 40 GB NVMe at $4.00 to 16 vCPU / 32 GB / 450 GB NVMe at $77.50 a month.
  • Every Tihost VPS runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU with KVM virtualization: the Ryzen 9 5950X in Germany and Finland, the Ryzen 9 9950X in Poland.
  • The same Tihost VPS configuration costs about 25% more in Poland than in Germany and Finland (1 vCPU / 2 GB is $5.00 versus $4.00): the premium pays for Zen 5, DDR5 memory and up to 10 Gbps networking.
  • Paying for a Tihost VPS 3, 6 or 12 months upfront gives 10, 15 or 20% off: 1 vCPU / 2 GB in Germany costs $38.40 for a year instead of $48.00.
  • VPS sizing guidelines: a VPN, Telegram bot or landing page - 1 vCPU / 2 GB; WordPress or an online store - 2 vCPU / 4 GB; databases and game servers - 8 vCPU / 16 GB and up.

What VPS plans does Tihost offer?

Configurations are grouped into three lines by workload. Starter is the entry level: VPNs, bots, small websites and test environments. Advanced is the main workhorse for websites with real traffic, Docker stacks and Windows servers. Power is for databases, game servers and projects that need many cores and a lot of memory at once.

Price per 30 days in US dollars. A dash means the configuration is not sold for new orders in that location.

Each row is a fixed configuration: vCPU, RAM and the NVMe disk come together and are not assembled piece by piece. The CPU depends on the location: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X in Germany and Finland, the newer AMD Ryzen 9 9950X in Poland.

What every plan includes

  • KVM virtualization and full root access (Administrator on Windows) from the first minute.
  • An NVMe SSD disk of the size listed in the plan.
  • A public IPv4 address and network-level DDoS protection at no extra cost.
  • Your choice of OS: Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, FreeBSD.
  • Management from the web panel and the Telegram bot @tihost_bot: power, OS reinstall, password reset, renewal.
  • A browser-based server console (VNC) and a public API for automation.

Why does the same configuration cost more in Poland?

Servers in Warsaw run on the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X (Zen 5 architecture, DDR5 memory) and connect to the network at up to 10 Gbps, so they cost about 25% more. For example, 1 vCPU / 2 GB is $4.00 in Germany and $5.00 in Poland. If price matters most, pick Germany or Finland; if you need the fastest cores or a wide uplink, pick Poland. The CPUs are compared in a separate article.

How much does a server cost when paid for several months?

The base price is per 30 days. Paying for 3 months upfront gives 10% off, 6 months - 15%, 12 months - 20% (a yearly rental is 365 days). For example, 1 vCPU / 2 GB in Germany costs $38.40 for a year instead of $48.00.

You can renew manually from your balance or turn on auto-renewal - the rental then extends itself as long as the balance covers it.

How to size a server for your workload

WorkloadStart withWhy
VPN, proxy, Telegram bot, landing page1 vCPU / 2 GBThese services barely load the CPU, and 2 GB of RAM leaves plenty of headroom
WordPress, online store, small Docker stack2 vCPU / 4 GBWeb server, PHP or Node.js and a database on one machine
Windows Server with Remote Desktop2 vCPU / 4 GB, for several users - 4 vCPU / 8 GBThe Windows desktop needs more memory than Linux
Busy websites, CI builds, several projects4 vCPU / 8 GB - 8 vCPU / 12 GBParallel requests and builds are bound by core count
Databases, game servers, analytics8 vCPU / 16 GB and upLarge databases want an in-memory cache, game servers want clock speed and cores
